July 2 and 3, 2013--Tuesday--Recuperation in Sacramento at the de Koning Home
A definite stay at home day. I slept until
7:30am, got up and had a bite and some water, went back to bed at 10:00 a.m.
and didn’t get up until 2:30pm! I was
still hot, and nauseous and tired, but did feel better.
Roxy
took care of us and let all things be easy for us that day…she is a wonderful
woman and a great friend! We did
laundry, met Lola and Molly the
cockatiel and African gray, and Corey and
Monty, sweet loving dogs who welcomed Guayo as one of the family, as did Roxy
and Rudy. Any more wonderful people and
great friends we could not ask for!
The 3rd we stayed home, I went shopping with Roxy at local establishments, her co-op, and a wonderful natural food store. We also went to several thrift shops in the area, and had lunch out together. A real girls' day out, and it's been years since doing this together. It was great fun.
We came home to resting men, and made a great
dinner, relaxed, talked, and again slept well. This is a fabulous respite from the road. Tomorrow, a trip to Cameron Park.
