July 7, 2013--Sacramento...Dinner with Tom and Peggy

July 7, 2013—Sunday---

        Today is Sunday Dinner day.  Tom and Peggy, Rudy’s daughter and her husband, have been invited to dinner so we can all visit. Yesterday her daughter came by to show all of us her engagement ring and to tell her grampa the news. These two have been dating for several years, but Lizzy has just graduated from college, received her nursing certification, and her boyfriend felt it the perfect time to pop the question and give her the ring. It was a very special day for her and her Papa.

       We had a wonderful Indonesia stew/soup that Roxy prepared. Her skill and finesse with Indonesian dishes has no bounds. Rudy is from Indonesia, and as part of their being together she felt it was only fair and good to be able to prepare the food which he loved and grown up eating. It is a big plus for all of us who get to visit and partake in the wonderful fare!!

        Tom and Peggy are delightful. We had a

wonderful visit, lots of laughter and good food, and a good evening in general. We will await the announcement of Lizzy’s wedding with great glee!
