July 5, 2013--Friday—Cameron Park and visit to Stan and Sumie Graham

Today is was trip Eastward about 60 miles to Cameron Park to visit long time friends Stan and Sumie Graham. Stan and Roy worked together years ago on a Hyundai project, and have remained in
touch. When we married, I became friends too, especially with Sumie whom I dearly love. She is so special and makes me laugh, plus we both have the same malady…getting lost regularly! Sumie worked for Bank of America for many years, but now both are retired.
They have a beautiful home in the hills of Cameron Park, with a great backyard and pool/spa area. Guayo thought it was the biggest water bowl he’d ever seen!  I had to tell him not to drink too much, as he is a black mouth cur and I didn’t want the chlorine bleaching his mouth to a yikky brown!!
We visited for awhile, talked and caught up on things, and then went to a Japanese restaurant, Mikuni. It was so very good, beautiful wood work and fabulous service. It was so nice having lunch and
more visiting.
Because our itinerary on this trip is always so tentative as to arrival times, Sumie had a prior engagement, so we left back to Sacramento after promises that if we come back through this area we will let her know a week ahead and come stay with them for a few days.  Guayo was very welcome and loved Dusty and Marco, their Pekinese dogs, and Stan and Sumie thought Guayo a very nice gentleman.
It was a beautiful sunny warm day, in fact a bit hot, but delightful with our visit to old friends who are doing well, and back to our Sacramento “family”.
It was a no cook day as Roxy wanted to take us to a local restaurant called 57th Street. They have
done yeoman's work for a local charity which Roxy worked with also, and she wanted to try out their menu plus repay them by eating at their establishment. It was fantastic...I had Lamb Lollipops with an amazing cherry balsamic reduction, and dessert was raspberry sorbet that was infused with reduced fresh raspberry syrup and real raspberries...I've never tasted anything so delicious. k
On returning home, it was time to take the animals
for a walk. This includes three dogs, an African Grey, and a Cockatiel.  If this doesn't attract attention, nothing will!!!
